A research team from La Trobe University are currently conducting a on liver health and people’s experiences of hepatitis C treatment and cure.
The team are currently seeking to interview people living in Victoria and New South Wales who:
1. Were diagnosed with hepatitis C after a medical procedure.
2. Have had multiple hepatitis C diagnoses, for example, acquiring hepatitis C again after previously curing it
3. Contracted hepatitis C overseas.
Participation involves an audio-recorded one-hour interview with a trained university researcher.
All participants are reimbursed $50 for their time and contribution to the research.
Professionals working in hepatitis C and related areas are encouraged to pass on this research opportunity to potentially relevant clients.

For those who provide unpaid care for loved ones in Victoria, Queerspace, Carers Victoria and the City of Melbourne will be delivering their successfull LGBTIQA+ Carers Group in 2021.
The program this year will be a mixture of face-to-face on online, and will provides a space to connect, relax, unwind and get information and resources available for LGBTIQA+ carers.
The sessions will run once a month with some opportunities to catch up in-between sessions. the sessions are between 1-2 hours depending on the activity and if the session is online. (Typically online sessions are 75mins.)
The program received great feedback from participants last year and we look forward to welcoming some new faces to the group at 6pm on 20th Jan 2021, the sessions will run until June 2021.
